In/Mouth

2023
Site specific fabric and threads installation

In/Mouth is a experimental expositive project, site specific for Dac gallery Conceived in order to give an unusual vision of the body and transfigure the exhibition environment in body – environment

With this tridimensional installation we can evoke natural/bodily elements, like an inflorescence, but also inspire restless, alien forms.

The viewer is in front of forms that allow him to immerse and experiment a other bodily dimension, inside an altered extension. The body is fragile, shapeshifter and different meanings can be reached with it through different sounds and odors, urging more complex emotions.

I orient myself towards a hybrid territory, mutant, so that it is possible to bring out a new possibility to feel, to note, connecting different worlds: mutant bodies that present themselves in new combinations (they blend, they combine). I trust in a particular sensibility, critic and politics, socially relevant in the contemporary art contest, calling to reflect on the same body dimensional concept and admiring the possibilities.

If the body is one of my first obsessions, in this gallery i offer the reconstruction of a part of it, modified according to my imagination and with the desire to offer to the spectator a motivation, a new vision, the opportunity to expand and amplify the sensory abilities (odors and music) and with this texture explosion the Dac itself becomes matter.

is peace
is destroyed
get here is difficult
i’m safe
i’m crucifixed
i’m drowned
on alive rock
i surrender
i give myself
with her i fight

i saved me
i saved you
you destroy
you burn
you kill
but not my name
it isn’t to remember
dry on rock
ice cold
and i wait for you

a come back now
useless?

helpless here

cold here

pulse
still
a tiny force
in my place
that doesn’t want
to be harmed another time
nails are in your hands

one more time

The first memory – inseparable
